The Forrester New Wave™ Vendor Review Policy

Prior to Forrester New Wave publication, Forrester asks participating vendors to examine our findings, provide comments, and suggest changes to improve the accuracy of the Forrester New Wave at two points in the process:

  • Criteria review. The analyst drafts criteria for use in the vendor Snapshots and QuickCards as part of the product/vendor evaluation. Prior to sending out the strategy briefings and demos, the analyst will give participating vendors time to suggest adding, modifying, or deleting current offering criteria. After gathering and reviewing all the inputs, analysts will make the final call on which criteria to use for the briefing/demos.
  • Vendor Snapshot Preview. After concluding initial research, the analyst ranks each vendor offering against the criteria relative to the other participants in the evaluation. Forrester gives participating vendors an opportunity to examine their written text in the vendor Snapshot to identify any factual errors and bring them to our attention. At this stage, vendors will also receive a preview of their criteria rankings in their vendor QuickCard. Since the criteria rankings on the QuickCard are relative to other vendors included in the research, there is no opportunity for changes.

All vendors included in a Forrester New Wave report will receive a preview copy of the final report at least 48 hours prior to publishing as a courtesy. Forrester does not entertain vendor requests for changes to the report during the courtesy preview period.
