Director of Product Management, Crunchyroll & VRV

Gareth White is the director of product management at Crunchyroll, the world’s most popular anime brand with 50 million registered users and two million subscribers, and VRV, the fandom-focused video platform featuring premium SVOD channels including Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, NickSplat, Boomerang and more. In this role, White drives strategy for data warehousing and analytics across brands, managing the enterprise and user research teams. While at Crunchyroll and VRV, White has also been a product manager for video delivery and transcoding, along with CMS and content ingestion. 

White has broad industry experience, having worked as a data architect and software engineer in Boston and Silicon Valley for more than 17 years at a variety of media and tech companies including TV Guide/Rovi (now Tivo), Pivotal Inc., Salesforce, iCast, and more. He cut his teeth at MIT in a molecular modeling and computation chemistry lab, where he worked in early machine learning.  

White earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
