User Experience & Creative Director, Google
Margaret is a UX & Creative Director with twenty-five years of product, interactive, and branding experience. She’s currently responsible for driving business growth and user experience improvements across some of Google’s largest consumer and enterprise products, including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and more. Margaret started her career with advertising giant Campbell Mithun in Minneapolis, where she learned the ropes of promotional marketing, brand development, and print design. She then joined interactive pioneer Agency.com where she designed and launched some of the world’s first online experiences for Fortune 500 brands. Over the course of her career, Margaret played key roles in defining the design of global brands, including Google, Disney, Sprint, 3M, Pioneer, Active Network, GoPro Mountain Games, and Vail Resorts.
Margaret is a dynamic leader who champions innovative concept development and user-focused design solutions. She’s an expert in scaling and leading global design teams to deliver direct product and business impact. Margaret has received honors from Communication Arts, American Advertising Awards, AIGA, and the Art Directors Club.
