Co-Founder & Design Director, Formation

Ryan Hickner is a multi-disciplinary designer, creative director, and tech founder from Seattle, WA. He’s had several past lives in visionary leadership roles ranging from directing all manner of digital experiences (for agencies and world-class brands) to developing initial IP for startups big & small.
Before joining Formation, Ryan ran an independent agency with his brother Jason Hickner (also a Co-Founder at Formation), and a tech startup focused on energy management. Ryan is also a devoted father and husband who loves good teriyaki and fishing.
