Chief Technology Officer
Michael Facemire serves as Forrester’s chief technology officer, leading the strategic vision and execution of the company’s technological initiatives. He is responsible for delivering outstanding digital client experiences and leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to improve Forrester’s efficiency and productivity. With a passion for using technology to solve complex business challenges, Michael led the development of Izola, Forrester’s generative AI tool that helps clients make progress on their top initiatives faster with answers from trusted Forrester research.
Michael is an accomplished technology leader with a distinguished career in driving innovation and digital transformation across multiple industries. Prior to becoming CTO, he led the product technology team at Forrester, and before that, he was an analyst renowned for his thought leadership in identifying emerging technologies and translating them into actionable strategies that foster a competitive advantage.
Before he joined Forrester, Michael held enterprise technology roles at IBM, where he consistently delivered cutting-edge solutions that propelled business growth and enhanced operational efficiency, along with contributing to 23 patents. His expertise spans a wide array of domains, including cloud computing, enterprise architecture, technology culture, and public speaking, and he has a proven track record of building high-performance teams and cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University and continues to be at the forefront of industry trends through his active participation in technology communities and conferences worldwide.
